The Steedly Family

I don't normally photograph 1st birthday cake smashes. It isn't because I don't want to-I just don't get asked often. So, when Logan and Hannah Steedly approached me about photographing their son's 1st birthday, I was dying of excitement and fear. I couldn't wait to do something outside of my daily work, but what if I couldn't live up to what the parents had in mind?

Meet the Steedly Family! I have had privilege of working with Logan for years. Over time, I have gotten to know his wife, Hannah, and their three children-Lucy, Dorothy, and Arthur. Not only is this one of the genuinely kindest families I've ever met, but their unwavering faith in God is also a constant source of inspiration for me.

For real though, aren't they the cutest??

Fortunately, the Steedlys wanted to get some family portraits in before cake went flying and that is a comfort zone for me. And my goodness, just look at this cuteness...I love when families color coordinate!

Hannah's creativity is endless. She picked out all of the kids' clothes, brought all of the props, and had amazing vision for this session. She made my job incredibly easy.

All in all, I think everyone had a great photo session! The kids got cake, mom and dad got cute photos, and I had the perfect weather for the perfect session. Scroll down for a few more of my favorites!
